SQL
The standard language used to query and update the "relational" databases used by most websites which require a backend database - which of course is the vast majority of them. There are several different proprietary SQL databases available, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, all with slight differences, but the core database structure and essentials of the SQL language are the same for all.
